How to Use a Besom in Witchcraft

When using a besom in ritual, there are a few things that you should keep in mind. First, it is important to consecrate the besom before use. This can be done by sprinkling it with salt water and then burning some incense over it. Once the besom is consecrated, you can use it for a variety of purposes.

One of the most common ways to use a besom is in cleansing and purification rituals. By sweeping away negative energy, you can help to cleanse your space and make it more pure. This is often done before rituals or spellwork.

Another common use for the besom is in divination. The act of sweeping can help to clear your mind and allow you to focus on your question. Once you have asked your question, you can then sweep the besom over a surface such as a table or the ground. The way that the besom sweeps will give you insights to your question.

Besoms can also be used for protection spells. By sweeping away negative energy, you can help to keep your space safe from harm. You can also use the besom to draw a protective circle around yourself or your home.
